"Dérives" unfolds as three pieces drawn from an original unreleased composition. The works seek to break and expand the original material through the use of the modular synthesizer, reinterpreting form, polyphony and timbral treatments without further editing of the recorded takes.

Incessant or sporadic rubbing, varying degrees of spectral distortion and shifts in perpetual stretching weave the fabric from which these three compositions-interpretations played in real time emerge.

This release follows the one Antoine Hubineau has just made on the Danish label arbitrary with the EP "Dissolvè / Scillions".

Based in Latillé (France), Antoine Hubineau works in the electronic music field, as a composer, musician, teacher and co-founder of the Sillages residency.

His practice is focused on sound synthesis, alternating between various pseudo-acoustic instruments, abstract matter and surreal spaces. In his compositions, he makes the most of the cracks between free pulsation and collateral rhythms, between harmonic stability and tearings in the sound spectrum.

"Dérives" se déploie à travers trois morceaux issus d’une même composition, cherchant à rompre et à étendre le matériau d’origine par l’entremise du synthétiseur modulaire. Il s'agit ici pour Antoine d’adapter sur cet instrument une composition de studio non publiée à ce jour, réinterprétant sa forme, son écriture polyphonique et certains traitements de timbres, sans édition ultérieure des prises enregistrées.

Frottements incessants ou sporadiques, déformations du spectre à degrés variables et glissements en étirements perpétuels tissent la trame à partir de laquelle ces trois compositions-interprétations jouées en temps réel s’extirpent.

Cette sortie fait suite à celle qu'Antoine Hubineau vient de publier sur le label danois arbitrary (avec l'EP "Dissolvè / Scillions").

Basé à Latillé, dans la Vienne (FR), Antoine Hubineau est actif dans le champ des musiques électroniques en tant que compositeur, musicien, pédagogue et co-responsable de la résidence artistique Sillages.

Sa pratique est centrée sur l’utilisation de la synthèse sonore, qui devient tour à tour instrument pseudo-acoustique, matière abstraite et espace surréel. Dans ses compositions, il exploite les interstices entre pulsations libres et rythmes collatéraux, entre stabilités harmoniques et déchirements du spectre sonore.
